On March 6, 2004 my father lost his battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. On September 8, 2012 I will be running the Montour Trail half-marathon to raise money for CurePSP and help fund vital education and research.
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy is a debilitating disease … the gradual loss of certain brain cells causes slowing of movement and reduced control of walking, balance, swallowing, speaking and eye movement. It basically robs a person of their quality of life and takes away the fundamental joys of life … eating, reading, driving, traveling and basic independence.
There is no treatment or cure, and that’s what CurePSP is working very hard to change. Research is being done on several fronts and funding is critical. And just as important as funding research is funding education programs for patients and families – these programs provide a tremendous amount of support when it is needed the most.
Please support me in my efforts by entering a donation at the top of screen.
Thank you in advance for your kind and generous support. You are truly making a difference in the lives of over 20,000 patients and families.
